Harold Peter Henry Pee Wee Reese (July 23, 1918 August 14, 1999) played shortstop for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers from 1940 to 1958. He was a ten-time All Star, helping the Dodgers to win seven National League championships. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984. Reese is also famous for supporting his teammate Jackie Robinson, the first African American player in the major leagues in Robinson's difficult first years.
