Queen Helena is the wife of King Simon (who dies during Season 2) , making her the Queen of England. She has 3 children, Prince Robert (who dies in the pilot episode), Prince Liam and Princess Eleanor.She is self-obsessed and cares more for the image of the Monarch and the power and lifestyle it provides for her. She has a strained relationship with her children, the twins; Prince Liam and Princess Eleanor.Though she is married to the King of England, she continues to have an affair with Sir Alistair Lacey, her first love.During Season 2 , we see her try to redeem herself as a mother and begins to mend her relationship with her children.
