Ted Schmidt starts off in the series as the underdog in most ways, he is financially stable because of his boring job as an accountant, but he is unlucky in love and often made fun of and rejected. Much of this changes when he gets fired from his accounting job and starts his own pornographic website, which with the help of Emmet (as Fetch Dixon) becomes a hit and Ted starts rolling in the dough as well as enjoying a major surge in confidence.
