Andy is Karens economics teacher at the university where she goes to take classes in the second season. Eventhough he's much younger than Karen they end up falling in love. They break up when Andy reveales he wants children to Karen in New-Zealand [where he's originally from].Andy is a multi-millionair who sells his assets after running down a woman with his SUV and realises that his only motivating factor at that time was greed.In Season 5 he returns to Tree Hill with Karen, it is hinted that they have been dating this whole time and raising Karen and Keith's daughter Lily together.
