Coach Whitey Durham was the coach of the Tree Hill Ravens for 35 years. He was the one who brought Nathan and Lucas together on and off the court. He was always the one anyone could go to advice for. After high school Whitey accepted a college coaching job and asked Lucas to be the assistant coach, while coaching he asked Nathan to come and play for him because no other team wanted Nathan. Whitey's very first year of coaching college ball left him with a championship and a victory in all of their hearts.
