Arne is one of Ragnar Lothbrok's warriors who joins his fighters during secret meetings held at Erik's house. He volunteers to sail west with Ragnar to England. He is a skilled archer but is also lethal with a battle ax. In battle, he is sometimes lifted above a shield wall on top of a shield to shoot arrows from above. He is friends with other fighters in Ragnar's group, including Leif and Floki.
