Arthur Manchester is Tom Mason's former history professor and mentor who was the Chair of the American History Department at Boston College. He wrote a book about the American Revolution called From Darkness, Democracy. He is the majority leader of the Continental Congress in Charleston. He prefers to keep Charleston hidden and its citizens safe rather than engage in fighting.
