Kenneth, Michael, CJ and Bart try to reactivate the power in the mall when they go to the cellar, they find a dog...and some zombies. Bart was killed but the other three and the dog survived. Nicole named the dog Chips and grew distraught to him. Chips was used to carry food to a starving Andy who was at the other building, as he was the only one who could get past the zombies. Chips got into the small door, but so did a few zombies, Andy being bitten is implied. Nicole, still distraught about Chips, gets into a truck and drives to the door and gets in. A few people including Kenneth go to help, and they find Andy has become a zombie. Kenneth kills him. Everyone starts building armored vehicles from the bodies of the mall buses. When they finish, they drive to the pier not so easily, survivors decrease. When everyone leaves, they are forced to leave Michael behind as he is found to be bitten. As Michael watches the sunset, a gunshot is heard.The survivors reach the island. Chips runs off, causing zombies to notice. The survivors might have met their fate just there. The only survivor is most likely Chips because he was never able to be eaten by the zombies.
