Dr. Spire is the physician who gets caught in the middle of both the people conspiring against the president and Jack Bauer. He is forced by Jack to attempt to save Captain Jonathan Wallace, the rogue 1st SFOD-D (Delta force) detachment leader who has information that the cyprus audio recording is fake. Dr. Spire manages to keep Wallace alive long enough for Jack to finally convince Wallace to give in.After Jack retrieves the audio recording, he uses the now detached tracking device from the recorders memory chip as a decoy sending Kate a Usaf to CTU. Jack gets captured and is brutally tortured, most in part by Kingley's men (the people who want the audio recording to start a war). Dr. Spire is forced to administer various drugs to save (epinephrine) and torture (pancuronium bromide, a skeletal muscular paralytic) Jack but after some convincing, Jack gets him to load a syringe of pancuronium with the intend of killing the thug. Dr. Spire stabs the thug in the upper spine causing him to slowly suffer. As Dr. Spire against the wall after briefly being pushed by the thug sits in shock, Jack tells him to stay back. Jack gets Kingley's name from the dieing thug promising to make it quick . Jack then shoots him twice with a suppressed USP .45 (after he kills all the other henchmen).
