Kate is the oldest daughter of Bob Warner, CEO of Warner Enterprises. After her mother's death, she commits herself to helping to raise her sister, Marie. Her family becomes embroiled in a terrorist organization's plot to detonate a nuclear bomb within the city of Los Angeles. This series of unfortunate events does have an upside for Kate: calamity brings her into the orbit of CTU agent Jack Bauer with whom a relationship briefly blossoms.
