Keith McGee is the Belfast-based member of the First 9 who founded the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, along with Piney Winston and John Teller. When Clay Morrow joined them in the 1970s, they became the Redwood Originals, SAMCRO. In the 1980s, McGee returned to Belfast with John and Clay to form SAMBEL and become and go-between SOA and the True IRA. He is in a relationship with Maureen Ashby, whose family is in the True IRA. McGee has dealings with Jimmy O'Phelan, the True IRA's leader. As he has gotten older, McGee has become more concerned with his own future and retirement than with preserving the legacy of the club.
