Manny Horvitz is a Philadelphia butcher and a supplier of alcohol to speakeasies and restaurants in the area. He is introduced to Nucky Thompson by Mickey Doyle and eventually becomes an associate of Nucky's. Despite displaying a calm outward demeanor, Horvitz is a ruthless killer who responds to disloyalty with the ultimate penalty in often gruesome fashion. He makes enemies quickly and leaves a trail of bodies in his wake. Horvitz eventually enters into a business deal with Jimmy Darmody that has disastrous consequences.
