Martha Logan is the wife of prominent politician Charles Logan for whom she serves as a close professional confidant, too. She is capable yet often comes off to individuals within the administration (and outside of it) as unpredictable and prone to anxiety. Her history with mental illness is sometimes used to throw her actions and opinions into question. She is a personal friend of similarly powerful politician David Palmer and holds an undergraduate degree in Art History from Stanford University.
