In the beginning of the movie Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (Gene Wilder) demonstrates the difference between voluntary and reflexive motor impulses for his students. Mr. Hilltop is the less-than-enthusiatic volunteer who is wheeled in on a gurney for this demonstration. Liam Dunn appears in two other Mel Brooks movies, most notably as Reverend Johnson in Blazing Saddles.
