Alyssa Ogawa is a head nurse assigned to sickbay aboard the USS Enterprise-D. She frequently assists Dr. Beverly Crusher and fills in for her in the doctor's absence. Ogawa is very loyal to Crusher and the doctor is supportive and a friend to her. Alyssa is friends with and plays poker with several other junior officers and civilians including Sam Lavelle, Taurik, Sito Jaxa and the Ten Forward waiter Ben.Background: Lieutenant Andrew Powell takes an interest in her and pursues a relationship with her.
