Annabel Fox is the daughter of Fox & Sons founder Schuyler Fox and Yvette Fox. She is about 10 years old, and brimming with self-confidence. Annabel is very proud of her father and therefore seems inclined to be a bit boastful about him. However, she is well behaved, quickly and willingly complying with the requests of her adult nephew, Joe Fox. Her parents clearly dote on her, and are immensely proud of her singing ability, which others may find not quite up to professional standards. Annabel is fond of stories, and of books as possessions, but it's a bit early to know if she'll ultimately devote herself to the family business.Notes: The spelling of Annabel and her parents' first names come from the closing credits of You've Got Mail. They do not appear in the film itself. It is assumed here that the adoring woman who plays piano for Annabel in her rendition of Tomorrow is her mother, since no one else appearing in the film could be the character Yvette Fox, listed in the credits. According to the DVD director's commentary, Hallee Hirsh, actually a talented singer, was directed to make Annabel's singing less impressive.
