Carol Hudson, was previously married to Christopher Hudson, he died when her son Finn was a baby, originally it was thought that he died in Afghanistan, but she revealed he was dishonorably discharged and had a drug problem. While Finn was growing up, she had a few failed relationships. One day during Finn's sophomore year of high school she met auto mechanic, Burt Hummel, Burt already had one son, Kurt. Kurt and Finn were already friends from the Glee club. A short while later, Burt and Carol married and their sons became step-brothers. Sadly two years later, Carol lost her only son, Finn.
