Crickett is a member of the Belles, a group charged with maintaining the history and heritage of bucolic Bluebell, Alabama -- a job that she and her friends take very seriously. Among those friends are alpha-females Lemon Breeland and Annabeth Nass, though neither is over nice to Crickett (especially Lemon), who is more or less treated as something of a less-than-intelligent blonde. She largely stays in the background -- and it's a prettier background for it.
