Magnolia Breeland is the teenager daughter of Dr. Brick Breeland and the younger sister of quintessential Southern belle Lemon Breeland. The Breeland clan is an influential one in the small bucolic town of Bluebell, Alabama. Magnolia attends Cyrus Lavinius Jeremiah Jones High School and competed in the Miss Cinnamon Cider Pageant. She was raised primarily by her sister Lemon, who is 14 years older, She may or may not be sweet on older Cyrus Lavinius Jeremiah Jones High School student Frederick Dean.
