Gowron is the Chancellor of the Klingon High Council who rules during the Klingon Civil War, Klingon-Cardassian War and the Dominion War. He is incredibly ambitious and advances his career through sometimes nefarious means. He occasionally is able to find common ground with the Federation, but he prefers to keep that fact hidden from his fellow Klingons. He clashes with Worf over the best direction for Klingons.
