Joseph Sisko is the human father of Starfleet officer Benjamin Sisko and his sister Judith. He is grandfather to Benjamin's son, Jake. Joseph was married to Sarah Sisko when she became pregnant with Benjamin but later discovered her body had been possessed by a Prophet to ensure her emissary, Benjamin, was born. She left soon after his birth and he grew up believing Joseph's second wife was his mother.Joseph owns Sisko's restaurant in New Orleans and insisted his children learn how to prepare food instead of using a replicator.
