Leeta is a Bajoran dabo girl (woman who runs a casino game) at Quark's bar on Deep Space 9. She catches the eye of Rom, a Ferengi, who is the brother of the bar's owner.Leeta is good friends with science officer Jadzia Dax and takes part in her zhian'tara ritual in which Dax is able to speak with Dax's former hosts when they transfer temporarily to her friends.Leeta dates Dr. Julia Bashir for a time, but her coworker Rom, a Ferengi, is interested in her as well, although he does not have the courage to act on his feelings.
