Jorge Alonso de San Diego is the Magister, the judge and jury, in trials against vampires. Bill Compton is brought before him after he kills another vampire. The Magister also sentences another vampire to have their fangs ripped out for feeding on another vampire's human. His sadism has a long history. He was an enthusiastic part of the Spanish Inquisition, an adviser to Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, and was Adolf Eichmann's right-hand man in Nazi Germany. He works under the purview of the Vampire Authority.
