Michael Eddington is a human Starfleet security officer assigned to Deep Space 9. He becomes disillusioned with Starfleet and joins the Maquis, a rebel organization of malcontent Starfleet officers who band together against the Cardassian occupation. They are considered by Starfleet to be traitors.
