Officer Robert Stark was Charlie Crews partner with the L.A.P.D. when he was arrested for the murders of his best friend and his family. Claiming he wanted to believe his partners innocents he was quickly swayed by the overwhelming amount of evidence presented by the prosecution in their case against Crews. Crews's being proven innocent after 12 years in prison, release and subsequent settlement with a reinstatement to the police force as a Detective proves an uncomfortable working relationship for the both of them. Officer Stark's betrayal of Crews's trust in the past makes it difficult for Crews to put any trust in him now both on and off the job.
