Cassidy Mackey is the daughter of Vic and Corrine Mackey. She is the only one of the divorced couple's three children who does not have autism, which eventually means that Vic takes primary custody of her so that Corrine, a nurse, can focus on caring for their other two children while Vic gives Cassidy some more individual attention. Cassidy is old enough, however, to be aware of some of Vic's transgressions, and isn't shy about speaking up when she thinks something isn't right. It is his daughter's disapproval that is one of the things that shakes Vic into realizing the error of his ways, but he isn't above lying to her about what he's done, either.
