Frank Lapidus is a pilot hired by Charles Widmore to fly the science team to the island at the beginning of the fourth season. Frank was originally intended to be the pilot on Oceanic Flight 815. He is a brave, matter-of-fact guy who wants to do good and becomes a vital source of support for the survivors in their effort to avoid danger and get off the island. A self-described conspiracy theorist, Frank is eager to find and help the survivors of the Oceanic flight, having through for some time that at least some of them were still alive.
