Joe Hart enrolls at McKinley High School in his sophomore year because, as a home-schooled teen, he decides that he needs a group of friends that extends beyond his Mom. The son of a door-to-door Bible salesman, Joe sports tattoos of Bible verses and has named each of his dreadlocks after a book in the Bible. He soon develops a close relationship with Quinn.
