Lynn McGill serves as Director of the Counter Terror Unit based in Los Angeles. He imposes his considerable will on the office, which doesn't exactly leave all of its employees singing his praises. Like others, he is charged with somehow keeping agent Jack Bauer in line with the the official code of conduct. McGill maintains close ties to his family, most notably his sister, who is a drug addict.
