Philip Filthy Phil Russell first appears in season three as prospect hoping to join SAMCRO, along with fellow prospect Miles. He stays in Charming while most of the rest of the club goes to Belfast. As a prospect, he is often assigned menial tasks, errands or guard duty. He is generally portrayed as barely competent, somewhat soft and far less violent than members of the club.
