Sara is an insurance investigator who has an on again/off again romantic relationship with Neal. Because of her job with Sterling and Bosh, Sara is occasionally looking into the same crimes as Neal and Burke. Catching White Collar criminals is therefore also in her best interest as she attempts to re-coup losses for her clients. Though she and Neal never seem to maintain a lasting relationship, the sense we get is that she has very strong feelings for him.
